Newport, OR – Longtime local banker Linda Eriksen has accepted an offer to become manager of Oregon Coast Bank’s Waldport office and has already started in her new position.

A native Oregonian, Eriksen first came to the central coast in 1980 to help run her family’s business, Jimco Sportfishing of Depoe Bay. During 1992 she joined her husband’s company, Oregon Coast Greenhouses, to serve as bookkeeper. In 2005 she began working at a branch of another bank in Waldport and within three years had become part of that office’s management team.

“For years we’ve considered Linda to be one of the most respected bankers in the county,” commented Fred Postlewait, President and Chief Executive Officer of Oregon Coast Bank. “We’re very happy that she chose to accept our offer to lead our Waldport office.”

“As a locally owned institution, Oregon Coast Bank’s primary goal is to serve the needs of the local community,” explained Eriksen. “That’s a philosophy I’m very comfortable with and I’m really looking forward to serving the banking needs of south county families and businesses.”

A mother of four, Linda resides in Waldport with her husband, Todd, and their nine year old son. In their spare time the family enjoys camping and riding four wheelers.

Since opening its first office in Newport in July of 2002, Oregon Coast Bank has grown to $171 million in assets and currently also operates offices in Waldport, Pacific City, Lincoln City, and Toledo. Known as an active local lender, Oregon Coast Bank has provided more than $370 million in financing to local families and businesses.
