Newport, OR – The senior management team at Oregon Coast Bank has promoted Teresa Murray to the position of Assistant Vice President / Commercial Lending. Murray, who has worked as a loan officer in the bank’s Newport office for more than four years, also frequently arranges consumer loans.

Murray grew up and graduated high school in Arlington, Washington. After studying accounting at a community college, she worked in the mortgage business in Arizona and Hawaii. Prior to joining Oregon Coast Bank, she served as a mortgage broker for Island Home Loans in Hilo, Hawaii.

It was a desire to live closer to her father that brought Murray and her daughter, Carlee, to Newport. Since joining Oregon Coast Bank in 2008, Murray has been very active in the community, working with the Newport Fishermen’s Wives, the Sam Case Boosters, Relay for Life and several other charitable organizations. A devoted runner, she participates in the Newport Marathon annually.

“Teresa has become a very proficient commercial and consumer lender,” commented Fred Postlewait, President and Chief Executive Officer of Oregon Coast Bank. “She’s highly respected in the local business community and known up and down the coast for her expertise in fishing industry loans.”

“Knowing that you’re helping local businesses grow is a very rewarding experience,” explained Murray. “I’m fortunate to work for a bank that is genuinely committed to providing loans in the communities it serves.”

Oregon Coast Bank, which operates offices in Newport, Lincoln City, Waldport, Pacific City and Toledo, has grown to $174 million in assets. Over the past ten years the bank has provided more than $400 million in financing to local families and businesses.
