Waldport, OR – The Board of Directors of Oregon Coast Bank has announced that Joe Postlewait will be the manager of the bank’s newest office which is currently under construction in Waldport. The cedar clad structure is being built on property the bank owns on NW Spring Street, just north of the intersection of Highways 101 and 34. Oregon Coast Bank expects to open its new Waldport branch during the fall.

Joe Postlewait was raised in the area and is a graduate of Newport High School. He attended both Linfield College and Oregon State University. After seven years in the construction business he joined the management training program at Oregon Coast Bank’s headquarters in Newport. Joe and his wife Kasey have a two year old son and are expecting a second child. The family recently purchased a home in the Seal Rock area. In his spare time Postlewait hunts, fishes and is an avid reader of history.

Oregon Coast Bank was founded five years ago when about 115 area families pooled their resources to bring a locally-owned and operated financial institution to Lincoln County. The bank has grown rapidly while remaining focused on serving local families and businesses. Oregon Coast Bank’s total assets now exceed $92 million and the bank has reinvested more than $182 million into the communities it serves in the form of real estate, commercial and consumer loans. The new Waldport office will be the fourth location for the bank, which currently operates offices in Newport, Lincoln City and Pacific City.
