Newport, OR – The Oregon Coast Bank Board of Directors recently named Jami Tough as the new manager of the bank’s Toledo office. The position was formerly held by Jodie Thompson, who passed away in April after a courageous battle with cancer.

A Toledo native and graduate of Toledo High School, Tough first joined Oregon Coast Bank as a teller in the bank’s Newport office more than ten years ago. About a year and half later, she was promoted to become a new accounts representative. In 2013 she advanced to the position of Operations Supervisor. In April of 2018 she became a loan officer, serving both commercial and consumer customers. Recently, she successfully obtained more than fifty SBA Payment Protection Program loans to aid local businesses.

A long-time volunteer in the Newport area, Tough looks forward to becoming more involved in the Toledo community, where she owns a home. In her spare time, Jami gardens, travels, enjoys arts and crafts and spends time with her family and friends.

“Jami has demonstrated a remarkable rapport with her customers for more than a decade now,” explained Joe Postlewait, President of Oregon Coast Bank. “She’s a great listener, has a can-do attitude, and simply gets things done for her customers. As a Toledo native and someone experienced in all aspects of community banking, she’s ideally suited to her new position.”

Locally owned and operated, Oregon Coast Bank has offices in Newport, Toledo, Waldport, Lincoln City, Pacific City and Tillamook. The bank has been credited for providing more than $800 million in loans to local families and businesses.

Oregon Coast Bank is a locally owned and operated community bank with over $258 million in assets.
