Joe Postlewait Named CEO of Oregon Coast Bank

Newport, OR – The Oregon Coast Bank Board of Directors has announced that Joe Postlewait, President of Oregon Coast Bank, has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer.  Fred Postlewait, who organized the bank in 2002 has served as CEO since that time. Fred will continue to serve on the Board of Directors.

Prior to his promotion to President in 2018 Joe was Executive Vice President and Credit Administrator for the bank.  He has also managed the bank’s investments portfolio for the past 10 years.  During his eleven years at the bank he has held several management positions and he has been a member of the bank’s board of directors for the last four years.  He also serves on the board of the Oregon Coast Aquarium and Community Bankers of Oregon. 

Chairman of the Board, Ed Wiles had this to say, “Joe has demonstrated the leadership skills and the strategic thinking that is necessary in a bank President and CEO.  We are pleased to have him at the helm as we move forward in Oregon Coast Bank’s eighteenth year.”

“Founding this bank in 2002 and then building it to six branches with 53 employees has been a wonderful ride.  Looking forward, I have complete confidence in Joe and in the knowledge that the bank will continue to serve the community and to prosper under his leadership,” said Fred Postlewait.

An avid long distance runner Joe has completed several marathons. He also enjoys hunting, fishing and camping.  Joe and his wife Kasey have three children, ages thirteen, eleven and nine.  They are both very active in the community.
