John Hurley Named Manager of Oregon Coast Bank’s Lincoln City Office
Lincoln City, OR –Longtime local banker John Hurley has accepted an offer to become manager of Oregon Coast Bank’s Lincoln City office and has already started in his new position. Hurley replaces Eric Greenawald, who now heads Oregon Coast Bank’s real estate lending department.

Jake Postlewait Named to Oregon Dungeness Crab Commission
Toledo, OR – Jake Postlewait, Manager of Oregon Coast Bank’s Toledo office, has been appointed to a 3-year term on the Oregon Dungeness Crab Commission by Nick Furman, the commission’s Executive Director. The 9-person commission is made up of four representatives from the fishing industry, four representatives from the seafood processing industry, and one representative from the general public, the position Postlewait will hold. The commission holds public meetings five times per year in locations up and down the coast.

Hundreds Celebrate Oregon Coast Bank’s 10th Anniversary
Newport, OR – With the weather cooperating fully, hundreds of Oregon Coast Bank customers gathered on Thursday evening, September 12th, to celebrate the bank’s 10th Anniversary. Oregon Coast Bank board and staff members served while guests dined on cedar plank salmon, fresh oysters from Oregon Oysters, chowder, coleslaw and freshly baked bread from Mo’s and dessert trays by Spring Howard. Wine and Pepsi products were served along with microbrews from Twisted Snout in Toledo and Pelican Brewing of Pacific City.

Oregon Coast Bank Expands Capital Base
Newport, OR – With bank assets growing by more than $18 million per year, the board of directors of Oregon Coast Bank recently authorized the expansion of their capital base through a private stock sale. Existing shareholders purchased $2.738 million in new capital stock, which will allow more than $34 million in additional bank growth.

Newport, OR – Newport-area businessman Ed Wiles is the newest member of the Board of Directors of Oregon Coast Bank. Wiles, also a founding stockholder of the bank, was elected to fill the board position recently vacated after the retirement of Dr. Richard Beemer.

Newport, OR – Newport businessman Mark Collson, who formerly served as mayor of Newport for 12 years, has accepted a seat on the Board of Directors of Oregon Coast Bank. The bank’s stockholders voted unanimously to accept the nomination of Collson to fill a board position vacated by the retirement of Frank Brawner.
