Newport, OR – The Board of Directors of Oregon Coast Bank recently announced that Joe Postlewait has been promoted to Executive Vice President. Postlewait has managed the bank’s investment strategies for eight years, served as Credit Administrator for four years, and has held a seat on the bank’s board for the past two years. During his 10 year career with the bank he has also earned a reputation as an experienced lender, property evaluator and manager.

After graduating from Newport High School, Postlewait attended both Linfield College and Oregon State University. Before joining Oregon Coast Bank’s management training program in 2007, he worked in the construction business for seven years. Joe led the bank’s expansion to Waldport in 2007, serving as manager of the new office. In May 2009 he returned to the Newport headquarters as the bank’s investment officer.

Newport homeowners, Joe and his wife Kasey have three children, ages eleven, nine and seven. He is a member of Oregon Coast Aquarium’s Board of Directors and also serves on the Board of Trustees for the Pacific Communities Hospital Health Foundation. In his leisure time, Joe hunts, fishes, is a long distance runner and an avid reader of history.

“Through his leadership and sound investment strategies, Joe has and will continue to be an important part of our Oregon Coast Bank executive team,” commented Mark Collson, Chairman of the bank’s Board of Directors. “He’s very proficient as a community banker and has done a great job passing on those skills to our entire staff. His promotion to Executive Vice President is also in recognition for the exceptional job he has done carrying on the tradition of managing a healthy lending portfolio with few loan charge-offs and delinquencies.”

Locally owned and operated, Oregon Coast Bank has grown to more than $200 million in assets. The bank operates offices in Newport, Toledo, Waldport, Lincoln City, Pacific City and Tillamook. With an emphasis on community lending, Oregon Coast Bank has provided more than $534 million in financing to local families and businesses.
